Linda and Kevin welcome you to the Old Station House, a charming stone built house built by the Midland Railway in 1876 offering a wealth of character and atmosphere but with all the modern facilities required by today’s tourists having been recently refurbished during Spring/Summer 2009. It is conveniently situated only a few minutes away from the main market street in picturesque Hawes in Upper Wensleydale and in its own large mature garden near to the National Park Centre. The Pennine Way long distance path passes the gate. We cater for most outdoor activities: walkers, cyclists, para-gliders, fishing and shooting.

Old Station House is a typical Station Masters House, having come into private ownership after the Wensleydale Railway was progressively closed from 1954 to 1967. Two of our bedrooms have been named after passenger trains that stopped at Hawes railway in the early 20th century and the third is named ‘Station Master’.
